Roses are a group of herbaceous shrubs found in temperate regions throughout both hemispheres. For ancient people, rose was a sign of pleasure, the companion of mirth and wine. Rose petals or flower buds are sometimes used to flavour ordinary tea, or combined with other herbs to make tisanes.
